Termination deadline calculator

The four labour codes came into force on 21 November 2025. One of the changes took a year off the time you have to raise a termination dispute, and it was barely reported. Enter the date you were terminated and this works out the two dates that decide whether your claim can still be heard.

What this is, and what it is not

This calculator applies two dates from Section 53 of the Industrial Relations Code, 2020 to the date you enter. It is general legal information, not legal advice, and it is no substitute for a lawyer reading your termination letter, your appointment letter and your correspondence. Limitation questions turn on facts a form cannot capture. If a date above is close or has passed, that is a reason to speak to someone this week rather than a reason to stop.
