Matters before the DIFC Courts are conducted by the firm, with counsel from its panel of DIFC-registered advocates engaged for the hearing. You instruct one team. The file, the strategy and the correspondence stay with us, and someone with rights of audience appears when the court requires it.
The firm acts as counsel in arbitrations seated in the DIFC and the wider UAE. Where the dispute continues into India, it conducts those proceedings too, including enforcement of UAE awards and judgments there. That is the point at which having one practice across both ends of the matter stops being a convenience and starts saving time.
Each practitioner is responsible for the work within their own professional authority, and the engagement terms for a matter record who is doing what.
Scope the matter
Establish the forum, the governing instrument, the documents and any known deadlines. Whether the matter is a DIFC matter or a Dubai mainland matter is settled at this point, because it changes everything downstream.
Assign counsel
Counsel from the firm's panel of DIFC-registered advocates is engaged for any hearing, on a per-matter basis. Conflicts checks are completed before substantive information is shared.
Record the instructions
Scope, roles and fees agreed in writing. Court representation may also need your own appointment or a power of attorney, and we tell you when it does.
Run it
The firm conducts the matter and carries the correspondence. Any additional work is agreed and documented as it arises.
